Wage increase in Manila, Philippines is still not enough to keep up with the rising cost of living

The minimum wage in Manila has recently increased by 15 Peso (USD 0.34 cents). Even though some welcomed this hike, a local Think Thank claimed that it is far from enough to keep up with rising living costs. According to their calculations with this hike workers with their new wage will only be able to cover 40% of their family needs.
