The All-China Federation of Trade Unions’ (ACFTU) is so far rather successful in its going campaign to get businesses in China owned by Fortune 500 companies to introduce collective bargaining over wages since 80 per cent of the 4,100 enterprises concerned in China had introduced collective bargaining by the end of 2011. The aim of the trade unions is to bring that figure to 95 per cent of Fortune 500 companies operating in China by the end of 2013.
